We’ve personally invested in 401k, mutual funds, and stocks for years. Thirty years to be exact. Returns were always a roller-coaster, there are regular fees, and projections consistently showed retirement was a long way off. Depressing. When we dipped our toe into land investment, things really changed. It’s tangible, lasts forever, increases in value, has low holding costs, and it’s fun for you and your family to have and use! We believe it’s the best investment you can make which is why we started this business.

Here’s our top-seven reasons we love land investing:
- Flexibility – Depending on zoning, you can camp, hunt, build your retirement or vacation home, park an RV, rent to others, create a dog park, stargaze, or just hold on to it while it increases in value. What are your goals? Improve it (or not) as you see fit.
- Affordable – Investors with a small budget can purchase land for their first investment and build their portfolio. When buying with owner financing you can start with as little as $99.
- Easy – There’s typically no maintenance, no repairs, and no worries. No tenants, or toilets, no roof to be replaced. It’ll always be there, waiting for you to determine how it can serve you best.
- Great Investment – Land will generally deliver great returns over time if you decide to hold and sell.
- Safe – Land investment is typically less risky than stocks or other forms of real estate. Best of all, it’s a tangible asset that retains value due to high demand and limited supply. If you have other investments, it’s a great tool to diversify.
- Legacy – If you decide to keep it, land is a legacy that you can keep for your lifetime, build a dream home, or save for your heirs.
- Love of land – If you’re like me, land brings the feeling of safety and security. It’s grounding – quite literally. It also can bring adventure! Live in a new place or camp under the stars. You can use it and enjoy it or leave it alone. And it comes in all the different flavors – wooded, seascape, desert, plains, mountains, lakeside, urban, farms….What’s not to love?
